Company History

BM Equipment Resources (BMER) is a single proprietorship registered in the name of its General Manager, Engineer Bayani A. Marcelo in June 07, 1982. It was established primarily to engage in trading of equipment, spare parts and supplies for mining, cement and construction companies.

Upon registration, this company secured the exclusive distributorship in the Philippines of the complete range of mining and construction machinery of O&K Orenstein and Koppel AG of West Germany, the well-known and progressive business conglomerate engaged in the manufacture and supply of the biggest range worldwide of plant, equipment and systems for earthmoving, mining, quarrying and materials handling. It has also acquired an exclusive distributorship for drilling accessories for blast hole drills. The company also engaged in the buying, reconditioning and selling of rock drilling machines and portable air compressors.

30+ years of experience

In May 1987, to enhance and augment its income from the trading business, BMER started to engage in the business of contract drilling and blasting. Throughout the years, it has proven itself so successful in this venture that it is now recognized as one of the few foremost blast hole drilling and blasting contractors in the Philippines.

The unprecedented thrust of new projects in the mining, quarrying and construction industries in 1993 has encouraged BMER to expand its business operation to include contracts in earthmoving and complete rock quarrying works. Consequently, in order to meet bigger challenges and requirements of existing and prospective clients, BMER was registered as a corporation with the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) in August 30, 1993 bearing the corporate name BM Equipment Resources, Inc. (BMERI). As a further corporate strategy, BMERI shall, as the need arises, go into joint venture or form a consortium with other companies to enhance its involvement in undertaking bigger earthmoving, quarrying and open pit mining contracts. Along this line, additional quarry and mining equipment consisting of Hydraulic Excavators as loading equipment and Off-Highway Dump Trucks and Hydraulic Crawler Blast Hole Drills are planned to be purchased in the immediate future as the need for more equipment are required for its existing and prospective contracts.
